Haiti Service Trip
We organize quarterly service trips to Haiti to expose volunteers to the rich cultural history of the country while working alongside local community members. Join us on a life changing journey that will no doubt open your eyes to a different prospective about the meaning of life.
As a volunteer, we believe you will be impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the Haitian people, the natural beauty of the country’s beaches, and the historical monuments that changed the course of history.
“Our service trips date back to 1999 when I met Rev. Michael Cooper, the former Director of Saint Leo University Ministry, who was just as passionate as I was to help make a difference in the lives of children in Haiti. We organized our first trip in 2000 with fourteen students and two staff members. It was such a great success that we kept going back. In fact, it was that experience that motivated me to create the organization. And it would not have been possible without the leadership and dedication of our cofounder, Victoria Chiriboga. Many other Saint Leo University’s students and staff volunteers spent countless hours working to advance the organization’s mission. They were driven by the spirit of social justice, service, love and appreciation for human lives, and a can do attitude”, Laude Saint-Preux, Chief Executive Officer, Haitian Education Project, Inc.
Our service trips give volunteers an opportunity to work, play, and make a world of a difference. It’s truly a transformative experience.
